Job Description

KEY INITIATIVES AND RESULTS EXPECTED:

  1. Analyze monthly transaction details to ensure accuracy
  2. Prepare financial statement entries for review
  3. Document balance sheet reconciliations for review which includes researching/resolving reconciling items timely.
  4. Supervise and mentor Staff Accountant role
  5. Adhoc reporting and analysis as assigned.

  4. Complete account reconciliations, analyze and research balance sheet reconciling items and clear timely.
  5. Assist in the preparation of monthly income statement and balance sheet in accordance with monthly close schedule
  6. Facilitate Inhouse orders and maintain lease accounting records and reporting
  7. Supervise a Staff Accountant as well as mentor in their growth
  8. Assist and comply with external auditing and reporting requirements
  9. Provide resource for ad hoc reporting and analysis.

PROCESS:

List critical processes this individual will undertake to achieve targeted results.

Complete account reconciliations, analyze and research balance sheet reconciling items and clear timely:

  1. Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliations according to month-end close schedule.
  2. Document reconciling items and resolve identified items timely
  3. Assist in the preparation of monthly income statement and balance sheet in accordance with monthly close schedule:
  4. Analyze and explain fluctuations for assigned accounts.
  5. Estimate and book accounting accruals for certain revenue and expense accounts.
  6. Prepare journals for any reclassifications with supporting documentation.
  7. Facilitate Inhouse orders and maintain lease accounting records and reporting
  8. Partner with multiple teams to review and complete inhouse order equipment requests
  9. Maintain the company’s lease records and fixed assets in a third-party software tool
  10. Supervise a Staff Accountant as well as mentor in their growth
  11. Oversee output of Staff Accountant role
  12. Provide leadership and guidance for Staff Accountant
  13. Assist and comply with external auditing and reporting requirements
  14. Provide necessary documents for external audits.
  15. Provide resource for ad hoc reporting and analysis
  16. Assist with necessary special projects as directed.

METRICS

  1. Reconcile accounts monthly and clear reconciling items within 30 days of original reconciliation.
  2. 100% cutoff for P&L activity
  3. $0 audit adjustments arising from annual audit and bank audit.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

List any management responsibilities.

  1. Staff Accountant - PK

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

  1. Comparable to 4 year accounting degree in United States from accredited university.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES, ETC.: 

  1. Equivalent of US CPA or actively working towards obtaining CPA license is a plus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  1. 2+ years’ experience in accounting role with a US company
  2. General ledger accounting experience that includes complex account reconciliations, journal entries and financial statement analysis.
  3. Experience with identifying and implementing process improvements
  4. Excellent critical thinking skills (detailed analysis of accounting issues, accounting reconciliations)
  5. GAAP knowledge and accounting research skills required
  6. Experience working within a large ERP system and advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access etc.). 
  7. Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  8. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  9. Must be a self-starter with an ability to work individually and with others to achieve department goals.
  10. Excellent interpersonal skills and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
