Position Overview:

The Operations Specialist serves an important role in our Software Operations team. They support our Cloud, Software and PPM operations and assist Zones Sales (Account Manager, Cloud and Software Specialist, Advanced Technology Executive) in successfully delivering on various OEM Licensing publishers and Microsoft Operations workstreams. This role requires extensive knowledge of MS Public sector and EA licensing expertise with a desire to develop software lifecycle management expertise and licensing experience. This position will work closely with the Software Asset Management team, Lifecycle Licensing team as well as the AMs, CSSs and ATEs in their selling efforts. 

What you’ll do as the Operations Specialist - MS Contracts:

• Employees employed in the role of Operations Specialist – MS Contracts shall be required to apply their independent mind and demonstrate intellectual abilities in their decision-making.

• Creation and maintenance of specialized MS Contracts out of scope for MS Contracts team
• Manage incoming cases against Cloud and Software operations action items
• Generate publisher Bill of Materials, upon request
• Create Opportunities in Microsoft Partner Center
• QC MS Contracts workstreams as needed
• Act as subject matter expert, provide guidance on the best Microsoft licensing strategy
• Develop and maintain levels of expertise in Top Tier OEM Publisher products
• Provide appropriate, timely and accurate communications to management, and be prepared to handle any special and ongoing tasks as assigned.

What you will bring to the team:

Education/ Certification:  

• 4-yr degree preferred  
• Certificates/licenses, ETC:
• Microsoft MCP – Large Organizations
• Microsoft P-CE (Commercial Executive)

Required Experience:

• Experience working with Microsoft software licenses
• Experience working with ticketing systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide world class customer service
• Demonstrated strong communication and proven ability to resolve complex issues a timely manner
• Ability to act quickly to issues and develop solutions
• Demonstrated track record of achieving productivity goals

Preferred Experience: 

• Microsoft Public Sector licensing knowledge
• Top Tier OEM Publisher licensing terms and conditions knowledge
• Adobe experience a plus
