Job Description

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for a variety of projects and processes that help ensure our product is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantities. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual who is comfortable dealing with large data sets to optimize and manage inventory. They should possess excellent project management and communication skills, as they will serve as a key liaison between the operations, supply chain, and warehousing teams. What you’ll do as the Demand Planner:

Employees employed in the role of Demand Planner shall be required to apply their independent mind and demonstrate intellectual abilities in their decision-making.

• Analyze SKU inventory management minimizing overall inventory levels
• Formulate in-depth inventory forecasts across product types
• Manage and analyze inventories for all clients
• Assist in Weekly Order Review process
• Work cross-functionally in order to drive aged inventory to $0
• Drive process improvement throughout the Demand Planning team

What you will bring to the team:

Education and Experience:

• Four-year university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Finance
• Statistical analysis skills and experience working with very large data sets
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Analyst type position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, power pivot, lookups, formulas, data sourcing) required.
• Experience with spreadsheet tools and demand planning software such as Kinaxis
• Experience in Supply Chain and Planning background preferred, with experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., manufacturing, planning, logistics, etc.)
• Familiarity with supply chain and procurement processes and strategy
• Knowledge of and experience with best practices in inventory and materials management (e.g., Classification Methods (A,B,C,D), Safety Stock, Lean, Consignment, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (such as negotiation, influence, and presentation skills), with the ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Demonstrated problem solving, time-management, customer service, negotiation, interpersonal, decision making, organization, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with the Enterprise IT procurement channel
• Microsoft AX/Dynamics and/or other commercial inventory management systems
• Microsoft CRM and Power BI
